Back in July, Satlantis was introduced, the Minecraft server that held the enticing promise of allowing players to earn Bitcoin through in-game quests and play-to-earn features. As everyone pondered the potential of this Bitcoin integration in the face of Mojang’s past NFT ban, little was it known that a roller coaster journey lay ahead. Time has now unveiled the outcome, with Microsoft subsidiary Mojang successfully convincing Satlantis to eliminate these play-to-earn elements, including BTC rewards.
In a Discord announcement, the server’s founder, David Dineno, reluctantly confirmed the removal, expressing his frustration with the decision. He passionately remarked,
“The Game That Shares its Profits with Players’ works. And it works well. All of the time, money, and energy that we put into this game together will not be forsaken by a few dinosaurs at some conglomerate.”
Nicolas Gilot, co-CEO and co-founder of the blockchain-based online gaming hub Ultra Arena, firmly believes that eSports must chart a new course towards sustainable profitability. Gilot contends that BTC and blockchain can play a pivotal role by uniting all stakeholders through smart contracts, simplifying administrative tasks, and instilling confidence among publishers, brands, and influencers.
Bitcoin and Blockchain: Gaming’s Bright Future
Shifting from Minecraft’s BTC integration, let’s explore how the Apple iPhone 15 Pro is poised to revolutionize BTC gaming. Equipped with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, native BTC game support, and upscaling capabilities, this device emerges as a BTC gaming powerhouse. Developers can harness its prowess to deliver BTC-powered games with enhanced graphics and immersive gameplay.
However, Apple’s stringent rules governing BTC-related apps and crypto payments pose a formidable challenge for BTC-centric Web3 gaming companies. The industry eagerly anticipates innovative solutions that leverage the iPhone 15 Pro’s BTC-friendly potential.
In a thrilling comeback, Formula is reentering the Web3 gaming arena with Formula E: High Voltage. Notably, race cars and drivers are represented as BTC-backed NFTs, adding an exciting dimension for Bitcoin enthusiasts.
Meanwhile, Gods Unchained introduces Sealed Mode, a new permanent game mode that adds a BTC-inspired twist to trading card games. Players construct decks from randomized Bitcoin card pools, offering a distinctive and competitive Bitcoin gaming experience.
In this dynamic world of Bitcoin-infused Web3 gaming, these developments are just the tip of the iceberg. With Bitcoin and blockchain technology steering the ship, the future promises an array of thrilling innovations and opportunities for gamers and developers, all powered by Bitcoin.
